Spacing Magazine has a new issue on the bookstands. There is a launch party for it on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
I have a teensey tiny little wee article articlette in this issue. I have to tell you here, since you are likely to skip right over it when you read the mag (and you will buy it won’t you?).
Now, for the price of the mag — just a fiver — you can meet the national and Ottawa editors, hear some neat panelists, and meet me in person if you have thus far managed to avoid that dubious pleasure. Here’s the gory details:
When: Tuesday, July 19, 7-10:30pm
Where: National Arts Centre, 4th Stage 53 Elgin St.
Cost: $5 (gets you copy of magazine)
Facebook: RSVP to our event listing
PARTNER: National Arts Centre
Panelists: Matthew Blackett (Spacing publisher) moderator; George Dark (partner at Urban Strategies, urban designer & landscape architect); Allegra Newman (community planning advocate); Eric Darwin (community activist and spacing columnist); Evan Thornton (Spacing Ottawa editor).
When might a body expect to see more Ottawa content in Spacing Ottawa? It’s like there’s World Wide Wednesdays, and Three-Coast Thursdays and Supergalactic Saturdays, but not a lot of local in-between.
Yah. I deleted it from Ottawa blogs folder because there wasn’t anything interesting in it I hadn’t already read *cough* Eric *cough*.
